052Drogba.jpgChelsea striker Didier Drogba is set for his first international appearance in more than a year after being named in the Cote d'Ivoire squad for next week’s friendly in Turkey.

Drogba forms part of a 21-man squad for Wednesday’s match in Izmir, potentially his first match since the Ivorians lost to hosts Ghana in the third place play-off match at last year’s MTN Africa Cup of Nations finals.

Also named by Cote d'Ivoire coach Vahid Halilhodzic on Wednesday are the Arsenal pair of Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue and the Tottenham midfielder Didier Zokora.

Drogba missed the Elephants’ opening six matches in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers from June through October because of injury.

Next month, the Ivorians begin the final phase of the African qualifiers for the 2010 finals in South Africa. They host Malawi in Abidjan on March 29.
